It was a tough weekend for favorites in college basketball. On Saturday and Sunday, there were nine upsets involving Top-25 ranked teams.
The Tennessee Volunteers lost as 8.5 point favorites to the 12-13 Auburn Tigers; Butler Bulldogs upset the Villanova Wildcats as 11.5 point underdogs; ninth-ranked Iowa Hawkeyes beat the fourth-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in Columbus as 3 point dogs. It sounds funny calling the fifth-ranked Illinois Fighting Illini underdogs, but that was the case when they took on the Wisconsin Badgers, as the Badgers were favored by 4.5. Illinois built an early lead and hung on for a 74-69 victory.
