Stephen Strasburg Lands on Injured List

Mark Zuckerman of MASN reports Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg was placed on the injured list Sunday due to lingering shoulder inflammation. Strasburgh will miss his scheduled start against the Arizona Diamondback Sunday, with Paolo Espino starting his place for the 1:05 p.m. Eastern first pitch.

Strasburgh has been dealing with shoulder and neck soreness to start the season, last pitching in a 14-3 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Apr.13, throwing 88 pitches in four innings and allowing seven runs on eight hits and recording three strikeouts.

Strasburg has been plagued by injury as of late, starting two games in the 2020 season, going 0-1 with a 10.
