The sci-fi franchise Star Trek, famous for boldly vowing to “go where no man has gone before”, celebrated its 50th anniversary on Thursday, marking the occasion of the first of episode of the original series.
With hundreds of episodes spanning six television series (with a 7th set to debut in 2017) and 13 movies (the latest being released this past summer), countless celebrities, pre-fame and established, have appeared on the series. In addition, the series launched several actors into fame, including William Shatner, Patrick Stewart and Zoe Saldana, all of who are household names thanks to the franchise.
