Dwight Howard filled in for Shaquille O’Neal on TNT’s Inside the NBA on Tuesday night (Shaq and Ernie Johnson were at the Sports Emmy Awards), and I’m not sure if what he encountered was more of an intervention or an inquisition. Let’s just say that he got grilled by Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Matt Winer on a number of subjects. The first was Howard’s mauve suit (recycled from the Kentucky Derby?).
Then the trio grilled Howard on his performance in the playoffs (the Rockets lost to the Warriors in the first round, 3-games-to-1, in a series where Howard often looked disinterested.
