The GOP primary and the SEC feel intrinsically linked. That’s not an innovative insight, but with every new debate and college football Saturday, the comparisons between the two only grow. Rabble-rousing fans, entertaining beefs and a distinct Southern flavor are the lifeblood of the two pastimes. And since both have the tendency to feel like a circus, we thought we’d pay homage to the ringleaders and match up the GOP candidates to SEC teams.

Brash. Doesn’t take crap from anybody. Has a hold on their constituency like few of their peers. Red in the face.
