Rockets center Christian Wood was forced to leave the game in the second half after picking up an ankle injury in the second half of last night’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Wood was fouled while attempting a shot and came down on Grizzlies guard Ja Morant’s foot, which resulted in him rolling his ankle. The former UNLV product could not compose himself enough to attempt his free throws and needed a wheelchair to make it back to the locker room.
He will undergo further evaluation and is likely set to miss some upcoming games. Woods has been having a banner year this season as he’s averaging 22 points and 10.
