Friday’s scheduled matchup between the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox becomes the second game of the night to get postponed because of snow. A cold day at Fenway pushes this game to Sunday, where the Battle of the Sox will feature a doubleheader getting underway at 1:10 p.m. ET. Game 2 is slated for 5:10 p.m. ET. Nick Pivetta, who’s gotten off to a somewhat surprising 2-0 start to go along with a strikeout an inning rate will presumably have his start pushed to Saturday.
Dylan Cease was scheduled to start for Chicago but still has to be lifted from the COVID-list.
