Packers QB Aaron Rodgers Absent For Team Meeting At Camp Tuesday

Aaron Rodgers was absent at the Packers’ team meeting to start minicamp on Tuesday morning, as the future Hall-of-Fame quarterback is now entering a holdout after requesting a trade throughout the current offseason.

Since 2012, the Packers have only selected two offensive players in the first round of the draft out of their ten selections. One of them was current backup quarterback Jordan Love. After trades fell through with both the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers in the offseason, things have been far from formal and content between ownership and the star QB. This, as well as a desire for a new contract that hasn’t come yet, seem to be major aspects in what has sparked Rodgers’s demands for a trade away from the franchise.
