The Marlins are set to start a series vs. the Red Sox on Monday, and the game has an odd 5:10 p.m. ET start time. Pablo Lopez was initially scheduled to take the hill for the Marlins, but he has ultimately been scratched. It is reportedly not injury-related, with the team simply opting to get some additional rest for their starting pitcher. It has not yet been announced who will get the start in his place.
Lopez has had a tremendous start to the season for the Marlins. He’s pitched to a 2.82 ERA through his first 12 starts, and he’s also averaged a respectable 9.
