Hey, public speaking is hard, and it’s even harder when you’ve got a dozen people shoving cameras and microphones in your face. So you can forgive Josh Norman for making an extremely unfortunate slip of the tongue while addressing reporters on Monday.
Trying to turn an adjective into a noun is always a risky move. That’s how you end up with sloppy words like ferociousness or ruthlessness. Those words are a mouthful, but definitely preferable to what Norman actually said.
He should be allowed to pause the interview and open a thesaurus in the future.
