Nick Saban gave Dan Patrick a slew of fun tidbits in an interview for the June 15th issue of Sports Illustrated, but not nearly as hilarious as his future son-in-law freezing up about asking him for his daughter’s hand in marriage.
Saban’s daughter Kristen recently married her childhood sweetheart Adam Setas and to no one’s surprise, Saban makes for one intimidating, and totally self-unaware, father-in-law.
DP: How did he ask for her hand?
NS: It took him about a month. They told me that he was going to ask, and every time I’d see him, I tried to put us in a situation where he could ask, but he never did.
