The Los Angeles Dodgers will have a key threat back in the lineup just in time to face the St. Louis Cardinals’ ace when they open a three-game set with the Central Division leaders on Monday. Mookie Betts will be back in the starting lineup after missing a pair of games against the San Francisco Giants. Betts had a scheduled day off for Saturday’s 11-6 loss to San Fran and was then held out of Sunday’s 5-4 setback because of allergies.
The Dodgers will certainly hope the return of their leadoff man can halt their current three-game losing streak.
