Today in stories that shouldn’t surprise you a bit, Washington State head coach Mike Leach ended his press conference on Monday by educating the media contingent about the glory of Neil Young — and the scourge of disco.
For some reason one reporter asked about Leach’s favorite band or musician. He listed a few classic acts (The Eagles, Marshall Tucker Band, Jethro Tull, The Doors, Bob Dylan, Jimmy Buffett, Lynyrd Skynyrd) before zeroing in on Neil Young. When asked what about Young interests him so much, Leach let it rip (via The Spokesman-Review):
“Neil Young was just a shade before my time, a little bit, I would say.
