The Dallas Mavericks started their offseason early with the acquisition of big man Christian Wood from the Houston Rockets on Thursday.
It should be no surprise that Dallas was the first team to strike in their quest for the 2023 NBA Championship. Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is dedicated to getting his team over the hump, and he wasted no time in the quest to improve his team as the Mavs and Rockets struck a deal before the NBA season officially ended.
