We can’t help but think this story of an LSU fan’s car getting swallowed by a sinkhole in the parking lot of a Mississippi IHOP at the start of the Alabama game was the most accurate real-life foreshadowing ever.
You see, the car is LSU’s offense, unable to get a drive going, stifled despite its best efforts. The sinkhole is the Alabama front seven, an unforgiving, terrifying menace that swallowed whole the best running back in the land.
