Pederson has been a regular in the Cubs’ outfield this season, batting .237 with six home runs, 21 runs batted in, and 18 runs with an on-base plus slugging percentage of .706. Pederson went 0-for-2 at the dish before leaving and was replaced by Rafael Ortega in the batting order. Ortega took over center field, letting Kris Bryant shift over to left.

We are awaiting an update from the Cubs on the status of Pederson’s injury.
