Jim Weber’s South America Travel Diary

It took me two weeks after returning from South America to put pen to pad (or in this case, fingers to keyboard) about my visit to Rio de Janeiro, Iguazu Falls and Buenos Aires, but it’s better late than never.

And let’s face it: With 10 days left until college football season is upon us, we are in the Siberia of the sports schedule.

So after chronicling my honeymoon cruise on the Mediterranean, trek across the globe to Tokyo and Beijing and South African trip and safari, here are my impressions, observations and experiences in South America:

• Rio is basically a South American Miami with mountains.
