Luzardo has been out since May 1 with a fractured left hand, but he hasn’t looked good all season. Luzardo allowed 18 earned runs and 45 baserunners in 28.0 innings pitched. James Kaprielian got his first three major league starts since Luzardo’s been out, and he’s made the most of his opportunity. Kaprielian is 2-0 in those starts with a 1.53 earned run average with a 19-6 strikeout to walk ratio.
