Jerry Jones, Paul Tagliabue Round Out Awful HOF Class

Either the billionaire owner who denies a link between football and CTE, or the former commissioner who famously ignored the discussion about concussions altogether. Those are your two options for 2016’s Pro Football Hall of Fame “Contributor” class. Unfortunately, one of them has to get in, but it begs the questions: should we immortalize those who make millions willfully damaging the brains of athletes?

Answer: probably not — unless you’re one of the many American football writers who nominated these guys in the first place. In that case, you’re probably cool with a bronze bust of Paul Tagliabue or Jerry Jones being delicately placed next to that of, oh, let’s say, Junior Seau.
