Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports that the Cleveland Indians will place Zach Plesac on the 10-day injury list.
The Indians are placing Zach Plesac on the IL. He has a non-displaced fracture in his right thumb.
According to Indians manager Terry Francona, Plesac fractured his right thumb after aggressively taking off his undershirt and catching the thumb on a chair in front of his locker. This is just the latest incident in a long list of bizarre injuries that seem to happen to baseball players quite often.
