The Charlotte Hornets have announced Gordon Hayward will miss Sunday’s matchup with the Atlanta Hawks due to a foot injury.
Hayward has missed three games because of the injury, last playing in the Hornets’ 114-97 win against the Indiana Pacers on Apr. 2. He played 19 minutes, scoring 13 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
In his first season with the Hornets, Hayward has appeared in 44 games, averaging 34 minutes, 20 points, six rebounds and four assists per game.
Expect Jalen McDaniels to remain in the starting lineup with Hayward out. Priced at $6,000 on FanDuel, McDaniels has started two games in place of Hayward, averaging 31 minutes, 20 points, six rebounds and four assists per game.
