Former Tennessee basketball coach Donnie Tyndall was fired after just one season due to investigations over unethical conduct at his previous position at Southern Miss, but apparently Knoxville hasn’t lost its taste for him.
According to GoVols247’s Wes Rucker, Tyndall is set to guest coach an upcoming professional wrestling event at a local minor league ballpark.
Tyndall, who was fired from Tennessee after his first and only season with the Vols as a result of an ongoing NCAA investigation into his tenure at Southern Miss, will coach the so-called “new Heavenly Bodies” in their match against The Bullet Club in the main event of Saturday’s Global Force Wrestling Grand Slam Tour stop at Smokies Park — the home of the the Tennessee Smokies, the Chicago Cubs’ Class AA affiliate.
