Darren Sharper Removed From William & Mary Hall of Fame

Darren Sharper, who faces prison time after reaching a plea agreement settling various rape charges involving nine women in four states, has been all but erased from William & Mary history.

Sharper, who starred at W&M in the early-1990s and went on to be a six-time All-Pro safety in the NFL, had his name and picture removed from a plaque in the Tribe athletic department. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2008.

Said William & Mary athletic director Terry Driscoll in a statement: “After a period of thoughtful deliberation, the decision has been made to remove Darren Sharper from the William and Mary Hall of Fame.
