The Chicago Cubs have released their Wednesday lineup against the Padres, and not listed are SS Javier Baez, 3B Kris Bryant, and catcher Willson Contreras.

This will be the third straight game that Baez will sit out due to a sore right thumb. Sergio Alcantara will take his place at shortstop and bat seventh in the lineup.
Chicago will also give Patrick Wisdom another start as he fills in for Bryant at third base.
