One of my favorite lines from my favorite film is when Major Strasser asks Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) what he would think if the Nazis invaded his home city, New York. Blaine replies: “Well, there are certain sections of New York, Major, that I wouldn’t advise you to try to invade.”
Apparently Chicagoans were feeling some of that Casablanca vibe on Friday night, as a scheduled Donald Trump rally downtown was disrupted by thousands of anti-Donald protesters, both inside and outside of UIC Pavilion. The event was then postponed before Trump even arrived at the venue.
