The NHL season officially last night, headlined by the top pick in this year’s draft, Auston Matthews, putting in four goals in his first career game.
Naturally, it’s the skaters who enjoy the attention in today’s NHL, but what about those poor saps guarding the net who have deal with skaters like Matthews? Those guys, of course, are called the goalies, and while they have to take 100 MPH shots to the body night in and night out, there’s no denying they look good doing it.
