As far as surgeries go, this one seems minor. He reportedly underwent foot surgery from Dr. Robert Anderson in Green Bay, which has sidelined him during Falcons’ minicamp. That said, he is expected to be ready to go for the start of training camp.
The Falcons will need Ridley to carry the load at wide receiver this season following the trade of Julio Jones. Ridley has been one of the best No. 2 receivers in the league for the past few seasons, and he’s coming off 90 catches for 1,374 yards and nine touchdowns last year.
