Buddy Hield will sit out of Monday’s matchup between the Sacramento Kings and the New Orleans Pelicans due to an illness.
A late scratch Monday night, Hield last played in the Kings 128-112 loss to the Utah Jazz on Apr. 10, playing 34 minutes, scoring 19 points, five rebounds and seven assists. He has started 53 games for the Kings this season, averaging 34 minutes, 16 points, four rebounds and three assists.
Tyrese Haliburton will start in place of Hield Monday. Priced at $5,700, the rookie has started 14 games this season, and as a started has averaged 32 minutes, 14 points, three rebounds and five assists per game.
