Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports reports Anthony Davis is unlikely to play in Tuesday’s Game 5 matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns because of a lingering groin injury.

Reports surfaced early tonight that Davis would be a game-time decision. He last played in the Lakers’ 100-92 Game 4 loss on May 30, scoring six points, four rebounds and three assists in 19 minutes. He left the game in the second quarter because of the injury. In the postseason, he has averaged 36 minutes, 22 points, nine rebounds and three assists. A primary playmaker for the Lakers, Davis started 36 games, averaging 32 minutes, 22 points, eight rebounds and four assists per game.
