This is not a huge surprise. Rodgers is reportedly disgruntled with the Packers’ front office and has reportedly expressed his desire to be traded. It remains to be seen if that will actually happen, but expect Rodgers to drag this out for as long as possible. Any trade would likely occur after June 1st because there is a massive difference in the salary cap implications. The Broncos remain the favorites to acquire his services if the Packers do move on from their franchise quarterback.
According to The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman, Rodgers has historically attended voluntary workouts in the past.
