North Texas scored on six of seven possessions in the second half, as Rice fell to the Mean Green, 52-23, Saturday afternoon from DATCU Stadium.
The Story
Rice took the opening kickoff and drove to the North Texas seven-yard line. But on third-and-goal, Gael Ochoa was sacked for 13 yards, and Tommy Bauchiero missed a 38-yard field goal. North Texas then drove inside the red zone, but Rice held it to a 37-yard field goal. After the Owls went three-and out, UNT needed just three plays to go 54 yards, capped off by Jahiem White's three-yard touchdown run.
