Another Wasatch Academy basketball player has chosen where he will take the next step in his basketball career.
“It was hard,” Saunders said in an Instagram Live video. “But once I listened to my heart and really just listened to what I needed to be and where I needed to be, it was easy.”
Saunders transferred to Wasatch Academy from Riverton High. He averaged 11.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.9 assists per game in his junior season with the Tigers, and is slated to graduate in 2020.
“We’re really grateful to have Richie in our program,” Tigers coach Dave Evans said.
