Utes pull away in second half for 92-79 victory at Washington State

Pullman, Wash. • Utah needed a late surge just score 45 points in the first game of this trip, then the Utes matched that total in the first half of Saturday’s visit to Washington State.

The Utes' offensive recovery, coupled with a strong defensive effort in the second half, carried them to a 92-79 victory at Beasley Coliseum.

Sedrick Barefield led the Utes with 33 points, followed by Parker Van Dyke (17), Donnie Tillman (16) and Riley Battin (11).

The Utes led 45-43 after a volatile first half. They trailed by nine points and led by seven, before settling for a two-point edge.
