Utah State’s star point guard, Koby McEwen, says he has received his release from the university and intends to transfer.
McEwen, a sophomore who led the Aggies in scoring this season, announced the news via Twitter on Friday evening.
“I would like to thank Utah state university, my teammates, the outgoing coaching staff and aggie nation for the past two years,” the post stated. “I have developed as a basketball player and as a person in that time. That being said, I have received my official release and will be transferring to pursue athletic and academic opportunities at another institution.
