Utah politicians to let off some steam and raise money for charity in the boxing ring

Some Utah politicians will don boxing gloves to raise money for charity and, maybe, to settle a few vexing political disputes.

The second “Draper Rising” charity boxing exhibition will feature bouts between State Sen. Jake Anderegg and Rep. Marc Robert and Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams and Dowtown Alliance leader Jason Mathis.

State Sen. Todd Weiler, one of the most prolific tweeters in Utah politics will have a different kind of match with House Minority Leader Brian King — a Twitter showdown.

House Speaker Greg Hughes and Draper Mayor Troy Walker will be master of ceremonies at the event, scheduled Saturday at 6:30 p.
