A Utah National Guardsman was killed Saturday in Afghanistan in what appears to be an insider attack.
A spokesman for the Utah National Guard wouldn’t confirm any information about the attack when reached Saturday.
But media reports, include one in Stars and Stripes, an independent publication covering the military, say a service member in Afghanistan had been killed and another wounded in an ‘apparent insider attack’ in Kabul.
The publication reported that a member of the Afghan security forces perpetrated the attack at the Kabul Military Training Center early Saturday. The attacker was ‘immediately killed’ by other Afghan security forces.
