Two Utah police chases yield stolen vehicles and $20,000 in stolen equipment

Suspects with stolen vehicles led Utah police on two car chases in two days — one that hit speeds of 120 mph and another that yielded $20,000 in stolen equipment, authorities say.

One chase took place early Monday morning, about 2:10 a.m., when Iron County deputies spotted a stolen car heading south on Interstate 15, near mile post 88, northeast of Paragonah, a news release from the sheriff’s office said.

The deputies tried to make a traffic stop, but the car fled at speeds of 120 mph. The car exited the freeway near Parowan about 10 miles southwest of where deputies initially spotted it.
