The Red Line car moved off the tracks near 400 South and Main Street, the Utah Transit Authority reported.
Passengers will take bus connections or walking routes around the derailment site to complete their trips, UTA wrote. The derailment was likely to cause delays, leaving passengers to wait on platforms as record-low temperatures languished in the teens Wednesday morning along the Wasatch Front.
