Inconsistent driving in Friday's second round dropped Tony Finau far out of contention in the PGA Championship at Bethpage Black in New York.
The Lehi resident will make the 36-hole cut in an eighth straight major tournament, though. Finau made three bogeys, two birdies and a double bogey in posting a 73 that left him at 3 over par and in a tie for 65th place as of the completion of his round.
Finau has hit only 11 of 28 fairways in two rounds. He hit nine greens in regulation Friday, while scrambling well enough for make the cut.
