Tip helps Salt Lake City police find remains of man killed years ago

Salt Lake City police on Sunday said a tip led to the discovery of the body of a man killed several years ago.

The victim, a Hispanic man in his mid-30s named Ignacio who also went by “Nacho”, was killed sometime between 2010 and 2012 near Indiana Street, just west of a canal, a news release from SLCPD says. It was not immediately clear where police found his body after an all-day search Saturday with cadaver dogs from Price.

Police believe his death occurred after disagreement with Carlos Trevizo-Acosta, 56, who now is in custody. Trevizo-Acosta owns Los Lobos Paving and Construction.
