RSL had a strong second half, but a late goal from Zlatan Ibrahimovic resulted in a 2-1 defeat to the LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park on Sunday, ending a two-game winning streak. Donny Toia scored his first goal of the season to pull RSL back from a 1-0 deficit and Andrew Putna made four saves – all in the first half as Salt Lake outshot LA 18-3 in the second half.
Real Salt Lake is now 3-5-1 (10 points) and remains in playoff position in seventh in the Western Conference.
