The Skyline girls soccer team beat Bonneville 2-1 with an extra time goal Friday to claim the state 5A championship. It was the school’s first title in that sport since 2015, when it competed in 4A.
Skyline’s Annie Jensen scored the golden goal. Skyline was on the verge of winning in regular time before Bonneville equalized just a few minutes before the final whistle.
