Sen. Elizabeth Warren makes a stop in Wasatch Front canyon before Salt Lake City appearance

Big Cottonwood Canyon • Ahead of her campaign event in Salt Lake City on Wednesday evening, Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren made an afternoon pit stop in Utah’s Big Cottonwood Canyon.

She had many questions about the local ecology and land management of the area for Carl Fisher, executive director of Utah’s Save Our Canyons organization, who took the Massachusetts senator on a half-hour walking tour near Storm Mountain Picnic Area and Amphitheater in the Wasatch National Forest.

But she also used the opportunity to talk about her own public lands policies, which she outlined just ahead of her visit to Utah.
