RSL signs Julian Vazquez, 17, to homegrown deal

Real Salt Lake has signed 17-=year-old academy forward Julian Vazquez to a homegrown player deal, the club announced today.

Vazquez, the club’s 16th homegrown signing, joins following two years at the academy. However, he will not join RSL’s roster until the 2019 season.

Vazquez had previously committed to Utah Valley University.

In a club-issued press release, comments from Vazquez, RSL coach Mike Petke, and RSL general manager Craig Waibel:

“Real Salt Lake has been a huge part of my life because I’d always go to the games and supporting the team,” Vazquez reflected.
