RSL, Portland trade goals in scrappy 3-3 draw

Related Topics: Luke Mulholland

Portland comes out guns blazing at the beginning of this one. RSL feels a bit disconnected, especially along our back line. With our two draftees on the pitch, that’s to be expected. Luke Mulholland is zipping around the field and getting himself into great positions to win the ball. There’s a scrap between Mulholland and Alvas Powell; Yura steps in (accidentally puts a hand to Powell’s throat!?), yellows for all.

In the 36th minute, Powell sends in a great pass to Nagbe who zips it to Maddox. Rimando saves the shot, but Valeri smacks in the rebound.

We don’t see as much of Rusnák as he acclimates, but when he gets on the ball his passing looks crisp.
