RSL ends first leg against SKC with 1-1 draw

Real Salt Lake mustered a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the Western Conference Semifinals tonight against rivals Sporting Kansas City. SKC grabbed an away goal and will head back home for the second leg in need of a 0-0 draw at minimum to advance. Unfortunately, RSL will have to make next week’s trip without two key players in Albert Rusnak and Kyle Beckerman who will serve a yellow card accumulation suspension.

Mike Petke fielded nearly the same lineup we saw in LA, with the exception of Sunny starting alongside Kyle at holding mid, and Joao Plata starting on the left wing where Corey Baird started just three nights ago.
