Report: Kyle Beckerman set for UVU men’s soccer head coach role

In what is news that I simply didn’t expect today, Kyle Beckerman’s next step has been made official: He’s now the head coach of Utah Valley University’s men’s soccer program, according to a report from KSL.com’s Sean Walker.

Beckerman retired following the 2020 MLS season after a long, storied MLS career. An official announcement is expected this afternoon, according to the report. Interestingly, Beckerman never had a collegiate career — he joined Miami Fusion at 18, and he spent a year at U.S. Soccer’s Bradenton Academy.

UVU’s former men’s soccer head coach, Greg Maas, recently left the program, with an announcement as to his departure coming in late March.
