Real Salt Lake Falls 2-0 in San Jose

SAN JOSE, California (Wednesday, October 28 2020) – Real Salt Lake (5-8-7, 22 points) suffered a 2-0 defeat to the San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday from Earthquakes Stadium.

RSL goalkeeper Andrew Putna made two saves on the night, but two goals from Chris Wondolowski proved to be the difference in the match.

San Jose opened scoring in the 16th minute when Chris Wondolowski scored a putback goal after Cristian Espinoza’s initial effort was tipped off the upright. The Earthquakes continued to control the match through much of the first half until a late surge from RSL put San Jose under pressure.
