SANDY, Utah (Monday, December 28, 2015) – Real Salt Lake announced on Monday that it has hired former U.S. U-17 National Team coach Richie Williams as an Assistant Coach under Head Coach Jeff Cassar. Williams will join the club immediately and will serve as RSL’s main midfield coach.
“Richie has had a lot of success as a player and as a coach. He’s such a fierce competitor and has a lot of experience that will enhance our coaching staff,” RSL General Manager Craig Waibel said. “When we started looking at adding a coach he was at the top of the list and the process was very smooth because the interest was mutual.
