Real Monarchs Fall to El Paso Locomotive 2-1

EL PASO, Texas (Saturday, August 29, 2020) – Real Monarchs dropped a 2-1 result to El Paso Locomotive FC at Southwest University Park.

Forward Kyle Coffee scored his second goal of the season, but goals from defender Brent Kallman and midfielder Bryam Rebellón were enough to give Locomotive FC the full three points.

The match started aggressively, in the 15th minute, Monarchs defender Taylor Peay saw a headed attempt on goal saved by goalkeeper Logan Ketterer. Not long after, Monarchs midfielder Dayonn Harris sent a crossing ball into the box toward Coffee who buried a shot into the back of the net in the 26th minute, but the goal was called back for offside.
